Emma had come in to her classroom early, dressed in something far less revealing than her usual attire. Certainly it was the height of fashion in white leather dominatrix gear, yet it had a teachery flair to it. Since today was her day to be the ever endearing, ever indestructible, ever instructing envy of every young lady and every young man's happily ever after ending vision, or at least their happy ending fantasy. Privy to all of those thoughts and realizations she smiled on as the children came and went.
In her life she had seen many a child lost to the ravages of a world where mutants were despised and in her charge had many lost their lives. She was far from perfect and in her wake she had left much destruction. Her past had been a swath cut through the world and hatred and animosity she had sown and cultivated, only to reap the rewards of a crop more dry and bitter than ash.
She had turned over a new leaf and decided to change her spots, but as the saying goes a leopard never changes it s spots. What no one every tells us is that it is not in the changing of spots that one becomes a person of worth, but in the accepting of ones own spots and the forgiving oneself of the spots that cannot be changed. Emma was who she was, nothing would change that, but she had learned to live with herself and forgive herself and even to chosen to give herself another chance. She had decided to change what she could, her attitude, her outlook and her behavior, and she had been rewarded for it. She was finally happy, as happy as the Headmistress of a school that daily tried to destroy itself from within and would at the most unexpected times come together to fend off assaults from without.
It never ceased to amaze her what the children would do to one another out of rivalry or anger, but they would lay down their lives to save one another if need be. Love, honor, respect, discipline this school tried to teach all of these qualities and succeeded with most. One however balked at the knowledge and held to teachings from the past, teachings Emma herself had been responsible for. At teaching young villains she had been a perfect success, but in converting this one...her favorite, her pride and her guilty joy...she was an utter failure.
"Where is that boy." She spoke her thoughts aloud. Looking at the clock on the wall she saw the time growing short before class would begin. "I know I trained him better than that. Probably from the late night he had." Emma had picked up on his loose thoughts when she had spoken to him at breakfast, he was tired and yet he still held the mental blocks she had trained him and all of her Hellions to use. "I wonder why he was up so late last night." She could have found out easily enough, the mental blocks were little more than a do not disturb sign to her and her abilities, but when they had them up she respected them and their privacy enough not to go looking into their minds. She did not go digging around in other students minds, but she held her Hellions to a higher standard even still and would exploit their lax behavior and any faltering in her presence she would make them pay for.

No sooner did the words leave Emma's lovely lips did Brock come strolling through the door, looking very refreshed now that he took his little pain pills and smug as ever for reasons only known to his infernally morbid and degenerate mind. "My Queen, I hope I did not keep you waiting," Brock smirked deeply at the former White Queen, looking her over as always just for the pure delight of it.
The relationship between the two was rather baffling to many. Brock held no respect for any authority at this school, none except for Emma Frost. Reasons for this were actually rather simple, if one looked at the bigger picture. When he was only thirteen years old, Emma handpicked him to come to the Massachusetts Academy to train under her. She wasn't exactly his savior, since the only thing she rescued him from was extreme boredom, but she sure kept him entertained from the second he came into her care. Making Earthquakes up and down the coast of California and destroying homes and people's lives loses its appeal quickly, the reactions are always similar. Working under Emma as her prized Hellions was a blast, Brock was constantly entertained.
He leaned against one of the desks, his eyes trained on his team leader . "What can I help you with my Queen? Perhaps sending us out on one of our 'old missions'? Or do I get to hear another lecture? I do love to hear your lectures, the words look so good coming from you" Brock said smirking all the time. He did love to flatter her, it was his way for so, so long. A game of a sort that Emma discovered with him, and she played it very well.

"Brock, well how good of you to show up. I have just minutes before class in order to sit down with you and chat." she gestured for him to take a seat as she also sat down in the seat right across the from the one he chose. "No Brock I have no further lectures for you. I only wish to convey my disappointment for you, not in you -because I have a great respect for your convictions- however, I am thinking that you might have enjoyed the challenge of a change of perspective, a change of life direction. It's not as big an issue as everyone has made it out to be," she glanced at him and tilted her head slightly as she raised her brow "you simply require a different set of parameters in order to be measured by. It's much like converting to the metric scale, some simply cannot wrap their heads around it."
She smiled at him sweetly. "It has however come to my understanding that you are following your own course without regard for those around you that have chosen to follow the course that I myself have lain out for them. This I cannot abide." She paused and looked down at her nails a slight frown pulling on her lips and ever so softly turning her head this way and that. The slight 'no' indicated by her body language would, in Emma's estimation, be enough to drive her point home. "I would deem it a great personal favor if you would, if only for a short while...let's call it a test run, or a challenge of willpower...try Brock. Try for me to let these issues of yours go. Pretend you are here to learn from all of the teachers as you are, and have always learned from me. Imagine you can keep your desires in check, and make that image a reality."
She looked up from her nails into his blue eyes. The memory of the first time she looked into his eyes was as pristine as if it had only happened a week before. He was a perfect tool, his mind, his power, his lack of remorse...all of him, and she loved him for it then as she felt that love for him now. She reached out a hand and almost touched the skin of his cheek. Stopping just close enough for him to feel the warmth of her palm and smell the subtle hint of her fragrance. "You will be graduating one day not too very long from now, and then you will have a choice to make. I want to see if you can handle this challenge and the brutal urges of your own heart. I am putting you to the ultimate test...to struggle with oneself and overcome is the finest victory. There is no laurel wreath of greater value than one forged of the golden metal of ones own spirit."
She knew how he loved to hear her expound. Knew all too well how his desire for her fueled him and wherein his desire took root. Certainly he found her beautiful and desirable yet this string she plucked now was deep within his heart and she used her wiles and finessed to play it for all it was worth. This was his link to her and she knew how he loved her challenges, they were delightful games to him and he always relished the opportunity to show off for her. "Can you handle that? Are you able to comply, or is just a bit beyond your scope? I think...I think, yes you can do it! " she looked him up and down appraisingly "Will you prove me right, or wrong...hmmm, I do wonder." she smirked and then licked the corner of her mouth.

The clever beautiful former White Queen played the game very well. Well enough for a slow smirk to cross Brock's face and another sort of glint go through his eyes. "Ah my Queen, for you... I can make a move for my goals. A challenge from you is hard to refuse, and what kind of a subject would I be to refuse my Queen?" Brock got up from leaning against the desk, keeping his eyes on Emma, who to him will forever be the White Queen. He moved to sit at the desk right up front, leaning back in the chair and looking up at Emma. "Teachers here, they just don't understand how much of a driven and goal oriented man I am. You understand though, don't you my Queen. Always the cleverest one in any setting. As your request suggests, I can find room to be a little less of a challenge for other teachers, a pity that they cannot handle it."
Brock leaned forward on the desk and rested his arms on the desk, the smirk on his face changing to one that the White Queen knew well. He lived life on his own terms first and foremost, though his Queen was the only person who influenced it in any way. "The challenge you posed for me will be met, and you know I can if I want to. Surely though, you realize that there are some things that would be asking too much for me to change. You see my Queen, I have another challenge on my hands as well, a personal one," he said with a pointed look the image of his beautiful prize in his head, sparking a mix of rage and desire in him like no one else.
"I will accommodate the challenge you pose for me, but you know that I just can't let it to get in the way of some things. That my Queen, is why you have always been the diamond among lead. You loved it when I was so driven, and you don't try to change that. Ah you are ever the clever one my Queen, cleaver and beautiful," Brock said looking right at her, never hiding his anything from her or anyone really. He was morbidly and brutally honest, having no problems with anyone knowing his motives and the things that drive him.

Licking her lips and pressing them together as she considered his response to her challenge she took a slow inhale through her delicate nose. "To impose on your personal time Brock would be beneath contempt. Of course I understand you will need to take a break from the struggle, so if you feel you can only handle this challenge during active school hours, well I can certainly understand." she smiled warmly at him knowing that last bit would place before him a further lure.
For Brock it would be hard to resist an opportunity to overachieve and by so doing impress upon his Queen how truly great he was. Were he to possibly acquiesce and submit to fully behaving, as she desired, it would honestly delight Emma Frost. However, if not, at least she had done her part to insure that classes would remain uninterrupted for quite possibly several weeks.
Glancing up and beyond Rumble she caught a glimpse of some of the students outside the shut door. She would make a point to make them wait, a strategic decision to indicate to Brock just how important and how favored he was. "Aside from that I have been concerned about your wellbeing. I do, as you are well aware, keep tabs on you. Our Doctor McCoy tells me daily of your injuries and although I know you are made of stronger metal than Colossus, I am none the less worried for you. Tell me Brock, how are you healing?"
She knew it to be a fool's folly to ask him how he was feeling. A legitimate answer to that question she might wait a lifetime for, but to ask him something tenable and measurable he could and would be able to answer. Of course she would love to hear the answer, as it would no doubt be stirred through with a heaping measure of his own brand of bravado and panache. She folded her hands in her lap and leaned in to hear him all the better and display just a hint more of her cleavage, in order to grant him what he so needed...her all encompassing attention.

Taking advantage of all that was offered in front of him, Brock took a long look at the White Queen, looking over every inch of her. "Gotta hand it to Fuzzy, he gave me some pretty powerful pills. My pain is gone, and they're making me heal pretty fast. Ribs don't even hurt that bad now. Your concern humbles me my Queen," he said with his smirk deepening even more. This game he played with her always put him in a good mood. Despite the state of deep sated anger he stayed in for most of the afternoon, he found himself in a much better mood now. He had a plan for one, and he also had the spotlight on him. Everyone outside could see that he was the one who got the attention of the White Queen's over theirs, which in turn was a clever stroke of Brock's ego.
"My bruises are healing up very nicely, but some would almost be a shame to go away. They make a very lovely badge I think," Brock said with no shame touching the one on the side of his head that he got yesterday from his lovely prize. He wore it with pride, she as she would wear the bruises he gave her after teaching her a proper lesson on what happens when she let's herself be touched by someone other than him. "I'll be good as new on the outside by the end of the weekend, and I'm always up for one of your ever thrilling practices, my Queen," Brock said looking right into her baby blue eyes, though softened from when he first met her, she never lost the edge in her look.

Emma stood. Elegantly she rose from the seat. Amongst the many rows in front of her desk, empty as they were, sat the one young man she had know for so many years. There was a specialness to him still. His was a heart made of remourseless and a will indominatrible. Unlike the other Hellions whom She had taken and made killers out of, with Brock she had sculpted a killer into a device, a tool now without a task. Such a shame it was to leave him to dull from disuse. Their eyes still locked with one another she winked at him, a slow wink that fanned his ego all the more.
She could not hold back the tide of children waiting so eagerly for her class, their most favorite class as she had heard tell of it - the tone having been dripping with sarcasm, to begin. "Well then I suppose a team practice is well past due for you. As soon as I receive word from Beast that you are fit to join us you will be more than welcome again. Confidentially, the rest of the Hellions have missed you, but you didn't hear that from me." She turned to walk back to her desk and motioned to the door for those students who were waiting to come in. Class would begin on time, as per the norm, and woe be it to anyone who showed up late.

After being quarantined for too long, Ivy felt like it had been forever since she had last had the chance to walk into class where there would be people around to see and hear and talk to. She had been stricken with a bug that made her have to be kept away in just about solitary confinement because every time she sneezed or coughed, there was a very good chance that whoever might've caught the recieving end would've gotten poisoned. When it had started Ivy had thought she would be okay, but that was until she had accidentally sneezed on one student and ended up sending them to Beast from being knocked out and waking up with nausea.
Ivy understood why she was put in quarantine, and she was glad she wasn't able to affect anyone else after that, because not only was she sneezing and coughing poison, she had been sweating it too. It seemed to have turned out that she was untouchable in any way because she could've easily poisoned someone, so aside from the gentle 'hello, how are you feeling' she got when recieving medication, no one really came by to talk to her. She figured it was because they were all continuing on without her and understood it, but it made her feel rather lonely. She got used to it however, and had brought with her plenty of books to keep her company otherwise, as well as all the homework that was always managed to be brought to her daily.
One could imagine the smile on her face as she walked in to see Emma at the front of the class and walked up to her, her arms crossed over her chest with her hands tucked under her arms. She had been getting used to being careful not to touch anyone just in case something might happen, but after having been so dangerous to be around while sick, she was going to be more weary in general. She didn't want to hurt anyone even if it was on accident. "Hey, Miss Frost. How are you?" Ivy asked, smiling still and moving to open her bag and pulled out a pile of paper. "I have all the work I've needed to do. I'm glad I'm back in class again. I really missed it, honestly," she told her as she placed the pile of work and homework she had done in her spare time on the desk.
She closed her bag before giving the headmistress a last broad smile before turning to take her seat. She saw an older guy sitting right in the front, but she only glanced at him for a couple seconds because he seemed like someone she would want to keep away from. Ivy let her red hair fall down and curtain her face as she looked away from him and took a seat off to the side near the wall. She set her bag on the floor and sat down, resting her arms on her desk with her hands withdrawn as she eyed the door. She was quite excited to see everyone again, especially her team. It felt like it had been forever and she was ready to have friends again.

"Man, that was one really big breakfast. I didn't think that I could eat that much egos, but it was so worth it," Gavin said walking into class with Ian and Niki, patting his stomach. "Hey Ms. Frost! Oh damn Ivy! Hey!" Gavin exclaimed in surprise at seeing his quarantined teammate for the first time in like weeks. "How are you feeling? Man it feels like forever since we seen you!" He took the seat in back of Ivy and smiled widely at her, dropping his bag next to his chair. Ivy was a sweet girl, he liked her a lot. The team just didn't feel the same without her and he was glad she was back. "Man you missed a lot! Did anyone fill you in yet on everything? It's been like the most insane couple of weeks ever!" Gavin said and laughed slightly.
He took out the English book and his notebook, setting them on the desk as he thought about where to start. "I don't know if you know, but Torri's off the team now, and so is Lorelai. Torri got put in Alpha Squadron and Lorelai switched with Katana." A look of disgust crossed his face at the thought of her. "Yea we're not exactly thrilled about that and all. Man though, it's really good to have you back!" he exclaimed with a big grin, happy that at least someone from the old team was still with them. "The other stuff going on was just as crazy, I wouldn't know where to begin!"
Yesterday the scene at the lake really freaked Gavin out. It was the first time he ever saw Ember get violent in any way, and now he knew why. She took on a guy twice her size and would have killed him right then and there if it weren't for Iceman stopping. The way she did it though... well it gave Gavin the feeling that she had done it before. He shook off the creepy feeling and smiled at the people coming into the classroom, greeting his friends.

'Why did there have to be so much disgusting greasy, fatty food for breakfast? Have these people never heard of energy bars?' Clutch thought with a roll of her eyes as she walked in the English classroom. She was doing surprisingly well in this class considering it was her second language. Then again, she always did like the thrill of another language.
A bag held over her shoulder containing all her books, papers, notes and pens was dropped onto her usual desk near the middle of the classroom as she gave a slight sigh out. She felt far too full after breakfast and didn't want to be too sluggish all day. A run would do her some good after class. "Good morning Miss Frost." She chimed in her usual voice. Just because she felt a little full didn't mean she should be upset too badly.

Striding into the classroom with a surprising look of tiredness about him; Kris silently moved to take his seat closer to the window. He liked looking outside onto the grounds. It always made him smile.
Today though he felt very strange. He couldn't get the image of yesterdays class out of his head. Strangely enough he was most upset by the fact that Rumble had been attacked by Aideen. For all anyone had every praised her about Hemlock was distressed that someone so beautiful could take a beating so easily. And from a girl none the less.
' OOP! Mind check, thoughts out of there Kristopher! Remember whose class this is. That would not turn out well for her to find out that little bit.' he thought warily, focusing his mind on the class ahead. Sure, the headmistress wasn't known for checking in on her students kinds.
But then again, Kris was paranoid. "What's on the agenda today?" He asked out, looking at the obviously stunning headmistress. He was one of the few male students here who would never really appreciate her looks. Not that he was complaining. Sitting among the growing group was another person he would much rather study than even the course work...

"Morning Miss Frost!" Ricki greeted with a casual smile as she entered the classroom, her eyes hunting around for a certain winged rockstar, but instead her eyes fell upon a red-head who'd been in la la land for the past couple of weeks. Ricki tried hard not to jump at the sight of the figure and hurried in the girl's direction. "OH MY GOD! IVYYYY!" Ricki tried not to scream it, but her excitement was far too great to hide. Ivy and Ricki had been the closest thing to a best-girl-friend Ricki'd had since the time Ricki'd moved to the school. Ivy'd always been extreemley nice to Torri as well, and spent a good bit of time with her and Ricki. "Where have you been! I missed you sooo muchh!" she shrieked as she pulled her friend into a hug and absently broke away, her mind spinning due to excitement. "We need to catch upp! So much has happened here, it's been craazyy!" she rolled her eyes, "Torri and Lira got off the team. Torri's now Alpha Squadron and Lira's Paragons - she switched with Katana." Ricki lowered her voice a bit, trying to calm herself down, but she left her excited smile on her face, thrilled due to the fact that her friend and team-mate was now back!
Her eyes moved over to Gavin, before she remembered the fact that she'd been looking for him. Ricki'd spent a good time of the morning, trying to tune her guitar (which she'd begged her parents to send over during her third week at the school) by using her keyboard, but she wasn't quite sure she'd done it right, and she was still prettttyyy clueless on how to play the Guitar. She'd attempted a few chords using the chord book her parents and sent along with the guitar, but she wasn't sure if they sounded right. The only one she'd been able to play properly was the E chord... she couldn't quite remember if it was the minor or major. "Gavin! I neeed help!" she added in a hurried tone clapping her hands in front of her. "I've been tryinng to play Guitar all morning - had early breakfast 'cause I'm soo cool - annyyhoo, I don't know if I've tuned it right or if the couple of chords I tried sounded right! Heeelpp me sometime soon?" she said it all quite fast as she dropped on the chair on Ivy's right, letting her bag rest against her leg, as she turned around to face Gavin, shooting Ivy a smile in process. "Pleaseee?" she added, trying to put up a cute face.

K'8 came into class just ahead of Sean, the two were almost inseparable, and she looked around for any other NewMutant team members, seeing Cluch she gave a little wave. She didn't really feel like a part of the team much lately since she hadn't practiced with them, not at least taking any active role. She had been there but she watched from the sidelines and helped where she could. The most fun she had had recently was helping TuneUp build his amplifier exo-frame thingy.
Beast hadn't told them all when they would be presenting, but she saw the weekend approaching and figured it might happen on Saturday. That would suck, but she really didn't have any plans and mostly the kids just sat around or played sports or baked cookies on the weekend. She was getting a little sick of the smell and the noise, she really sort of longed for someplace to get away to, to be with Sean and spend time without some joker messing up their time.
Oh wow the class is filling up quick she thought. I better go and grab two seats. She headed off to her usual place and sat down putting her things down and waiting for the class to begin. She didn't feel all that welcome even though she didn't let it show. She smiled warmly at everyone and waited for Sean or Riker who she had the most comfort with from her team so she didn't feel so out of place. He only said he had to go to the bathroom, what's keeping him?

Heather's time with the Kudinov family was more than amazing. Not only did she have so much fun, it was was the first time she was genuinely happy in months. Her parents were always having problems and her dad would update her every week. Once she and Veronika returned this morning from their yacht get away, they put away their bags of new clothing in their closets and got ready for class. Heather left before Veronika in order to fulfill something she should have done a while ago. Her best friend understood of course. Thanks to Heather's one on one talk with Serephina Kudinov, she had an epiphany when it came to revealing her feelings. The New Mutant wasn't exactly shy, however she was never out there when it came to getting exactly what she wanted. Gavin was anything but just an object. He was a great person and a wonderful friend to her. But yesterday she finally realized that she wanted more than that with their relationship.
A new found confidence spread through her body, and she wore the denim mini-skirt that Veronika recommended on the yacht along with a white collared tank top and white sandals with two inch heels. Heather combed her long hair and allowed it to fly free. She layered it during the shopping spree with Veronika and Serephina, also cutting off several inches, making her hair reach right below her elbows than her butt. Heather felt fresh and new and she was definitely looking good. Her eyes were looking more blue than usual thanks to her make up tricks with eye shadow and eye liner. A nice amount of Sephora Lip Venom was applied to her lips in order to give them a glossy and more full look. She was ready to get what she wanted, and that was Gavin.
Walking into class, Heather felt butterflies in her stomach. She was definitely nervous but still confident in the friendship that she and Gavin had. Nothing would change of course, since she still loved teasing him and vice versa. However the fear of rejection was definitely within her. She walked in, head held high and she smiled at the site of everyone already there. "Hello Ms. Frost," she said before walking down the isle parallel to Gavin's. They always sat near each other. It was the only way they could play pranks. Of course in Ms. Frost's class it was kept to a minimum; that woman knew everything.
Seeing Ivy was a shock as well and she waved at her. "Wow Ivy, good to see you're back. Feeling better I hope?" Once Ivy replied, Heather smiled and nodded. "See you after class." Now it was time, she saw Gavin right there, and the water manipulator couldn't help but smile wide. "Hey you," she said warmly. "I missed you yesterday." She was now right next to him and stood next to his desk. She leaned down and kissed him lightly on the cheek. "See me after class?" She then bit her bottom lip and winked, walking to her desk on Gavin's left. She placed her books down on her desk and lay them out appropriately, waiting for class to begin. The butterflies weren't leaving until after class......

Ian walked into the class next to Niki and was patting his stomach proudly. "I love BACON! BaaaaCON!" he said and let out a burp. "S'cuse me babe. Hey babe, why not lemme carry those extra books. Why are you carrying so much anyways?" He asked reaching over and grabbing the pile of books she was holding. He was in a great mood, after an ego, egg and bacon filled breakfast and that he saw his girl last night. Plus Rumble really almost died yesterday afternoon, scary as it was it made Ian very smug for the rest of the day. He wanted to see if Aideen was cool, since he didn't see her afterwards or this morning at breakfast. Surprisingly enough, he didn't see her in class when he walked in. She was always the first to arrive for classes, but not this time... and she was late for Wolverine's class too. Ian's face furrowed in suspicion, but quickly got over it when he saw Ivy back.
"Ivy babe! You're alive!" Ian said happily and patted the covered part of her shoulder lightly, though it may have felt a little harder to her but it was as light as can be for Ian. "Good to have you back, we been missing you!" Ricki and Gavin were already filling her in on the stuff she missed, so Ian took his seat behind Gavin and next to Niki. "Hey Ms. Frost! Looking good as always," he said with a big grin at her. He liked Emma, and not just cause she was hot, with the whole Limbo thing together, he thought she was one tough lady and he was damn proud that she was the Headmistress in the school. Ian turned back to Niki and grinned, "Where's Spitfire at babe?"
