Through all this, Brock's eyes were trained right on Aideen, barely listening to what the other jerk offs said. He was only doing what Emma asked of him and not making comments to disrupt the happy little mood from the class. He instead kept his focus on his favorite thing: his pretty little prize. Ah my pet, where have you been, hmm? Almost late for any class is most unusual, most unusual indeed. Perhaps I will have to make my punishment several times harsher... my pet is practically glowing, she's been naughty. She's gonna learn what happens when a prize of mine becomes a whore. Brock's attention was swayed only when Stoney started going. That guy was such a sap sometimes that Brock could only enjoy pointing it out to him.
He started clapping slowly, a big smirk on his face as he looked at his teammate's beet red face. "That was just so beautiful, really. Don't you think so Norrison? I mean I'm so choked up I could cry. I never knew you were such a tree hugger. Gonna join the hippies on us Stoney man?" Brock asked with a laugh and punched him lightly in the arm, snickering to himself like crazy. That guy was nothing more than a tool and the muscle of the team, and here he was trying to be the sensitive poet type. It just made Brock laugh all the more.
Catching Emma's eyes, the smirk spread wider on his face. "Hey I kept myself pretty well with the others didn't I? I just wouldn't be me to pass this up my Queen," he said without shame and put his arms behind his head. He had no problem saying what was on his mind to people on his own team. That's always how he was and that he wouldn't change either, nor did he really think it was expected of him to do that.

Sitting quietly and respectfully in her chair, Aideen gave little reaction to the other's projects. She listened to them, but to be quite honest none of them surprised her, amusing as they may have been. All seemed rather juvenile and even though some were performed impressively, mainly StormHawk with his wondrous voice that made her on some level understand what made him appealing to some girls. When Stoney stood up, he had her full attention, looking right at him as she did with the others and ignoring Rumble's cold blue eyes that bore into her. She had refused to grace him with a glance and frankly was just feeling too damn good to deal with his psychotic mentality.
The corners of Aideen's lips lifted slightly when Stoney read his piece. One of the many reasons that she enjoyed his company so much other than the fact that it was just simply a comfortable silence, was when the quality of words exchanged when spoken. He had an incredibly deep soul and the ability to see things in other perspectives that impressed Aideen on all levels. Her lips fell into a familiar frown when Rumble opened his disgusting mouth again. I should ask Chopper to bond it shut one day. Aideen really didn't care much for the Hellions enough to form more than a slight opinion on them. She hated Rumble, but Inflict and Machete to her were simply there and never worth her attention in any form. Shade she actually did not mind if only for his quiet manner and lack of idiocy that his other team members displayed. What she didn't care for at all was the way they treated Stoney. They treated him like a pack mule that was meant to do nothing but stand there and take punches because to them that was his only worth. Aideen honestly wondered if any of them tried having the patience to get to know him the way she did, but looking at who the team was made of, she sincerely doubted it.
Aideen looked at Emma Frost and spoke in her soft and respectful voice. "If I may voice an opinion Headmistress." She waited for permission before continuing. "I rather admired the Epitaph poetic fashion displayed in that piece, particularly since only advanced writers prefer to practice it. It gave a soul to another form of life and depicted a key moment, allowing us to feel the wistfulness and reflection in every line, finally ending with acceptance of the inevitable. And I believe you said during last class that capturing encroaching nature is most difficult when written in reverse of the common human watching nature point of view. The piece that Stoney wrote seems to fit the perfect example that you previously described to us. That takes admirable talent and even more so character and depth to be able to compose such a compelling piece," Aideen said and looked over at Stoney, sending him a small smile. It wasn't just to annoy Rumble, she meant every word.
"I find it to be a shame that creative ingenuity of such quality isn't appreciated as it should be, but I suppose Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was right, 'There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action alongside stupidity'," Aideen said quoting a quote from the German playwright/poet that was on the midterm and this time looking at Rumble briefly. She was no amateur and was well versed in putting together an intelligent insult that was versatile enough to be seen as an opinion and a compliment. She pulled her long hair over her other shoulder and looked right back at the Headmistress, inwardly smirking at the reaction from Rumble, but also glad that she stuck up for Stoney, who did not deserve such ridicule for having a deep thought process.

The assignments so far had been really funny, making Sean laugh along with the rest of the class from hearing Chase's funny Jamaican accent and the crude poem, to Lurai's blatant inquiry as to why she can't eat poor Coffee, which had Sean in another fit of laughter. As sad Ian got for his, Sean couldn't help but laugh a little under his breath because of it being so typical for him. He had no doubt that at the time Ian must have been crushed. Gavin's song made him convulse into laughter at the pure silliness of it that was sang as if he was Dean Martin himself serenading a lady. "Wow he sounds almost like Dean Martin," he had said to Kate and Tia.
He quieted down when Stoney read his piece, and he had to smile slightly at the real nice way the words flowed together. Sean realized at the end that it was about a tree that was going to be cut down and was very impressed at how cleverly it was done. He was about to open his mouth and comment to Kate and Tia when Rumble went first, poking fun at his teammate. Sean exchanged a look with Kate and shook his head. He didn't honestly think there was a shred of kindness or humanity in that man.
At Aideen's comment though, Sean grinned widely and had to put his hand over his mouth to keep from laughing. She was one clever lady and she knew how to whip up an insult in the most cleverest ways. Sean had to admire how much class it took to deliver such a well versed insult that was laced into a thorough opinion. He looked over to Tia and Kate and whispered to them trying to keep his chuckles to a minimum, "She sure knows how to tell it."

Ricki giggled throughout Chase, Lurai, Ian and Gavin's performances. Chase's presentation was just outright funny, Lurai's haiku was strange enough to have Ricki amused - she really did pitty Coffee, seeing both Riker and Lurai really seemed like they were trying very hard not to eat him. Once Ian'd done his presentation Ricki'd turned around to look at him, giving him a 'mock sympathetic' look, "That really was such a heart-breaker Ian!" she managed to giggle out, though she doubted he'd managed to figure out what she'd said due to her giggle over-dose. Ricki'd been expecting Gavin to sing, so she'd tried her hardest to calm her giggles down before he began, seeing she really liked to hear Gavin sing, and she didn't want to ruin his performance by giggling, but the lyrics that accompanied his 'classic ballad' tune didn't particularly help. Ricki'd caught Ivy's eye, giving her a 'this-is-too-funny' sorta look, before turning around to look at Gavin and whispering, " How did you make that thing sound like a ballad?!?!" she'd whispered. The only thing was, all the poems yet had been so funny, Ricki wasn't one to even think about making her homework any form of amusing unless requested otherwise. She felt her spirits drop slightly, seeing she didn't particularly want to ruin the good mood by reciting her rather mellow poem. However, once Stoney got up and recited his poem, he left Ricki feeling slightly better about her poem, seeing her poem was somewhat along similar lines. Rumble's comment just made her roll her eyes - she was half expecting Ember to snap again, Ricki didn't know how much more the Corsair could take hence her rather calm attitude, and feedback on Stoney's poem came as a bit of a relief for the Acolyte, seeing Ricki didn't particularly want a replay of the previous day. "Seriously, you're lucky you didn't see Ember snap," Ricki murmured in Ivy's direction, keeping her tone at a whisper, "It was... well, scary. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side." she said shuddering slightly. Ricki exhaled as she leaned away from Ivy, before standing up herself. "Uh - I wouldn't mind going next!" she added flipping the pages of her book, she wanted to get her poem over and done with while the mood was still mellow. She cleared her throat slightly nervously, tucking a few locks of her hair behind her ear and began in a bit of a solemn voice; " Many await the dusk of day, wanting to have some fun, I hear And yet we say we fear the dark, When it's actually the unknown that we fear.
We say that red is the colour of love, Rose the perfect flower, And yet we flinch away, When we see the thorns it offers
It's funny how even the smallest flower, makes us smile when we're feeling down; Yet we don't look twice when we step on it, leaving it crumpled on the ground. " Ricki licked her lips, as she seated herself back down, allowing her hair to drop back in front of her face.

An odd cough escaped Mason that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle when he heard Aideen's ever so eloquent comment. Until he met her, he had never realized how amusing it was to hear a well articulated insult. He felt bad for anyone that got in the way of that sharp tongue of hers, but she was the only one so far that he knew that could make such a versatile comment and still make someone else look like a complete idiot, in this case it was Rumble. Mason caught Tracy's eye and a slow knowing smirk crossed his face. Despite the other girl trying to smooth things over, he couldn't help but still be amused at Rumble getting burned.
His eyes slid over to Tracy and his smirk softened at the new aura around her now that Splice was back at school. She looked like her old self again, though he knew nothing could erase the stuff that they had all been through. It was just a sweet reminder of when times were a little easier. Discreetly, he reached over and put his hand on Tracy's leg from behind the desk and out of sight. "You take all the time you need to catch up Doll, I gotta talk to Fox over there anyways. Man that was funny just now," he said in a low voice for only her ears.
Mason squeezed her thigh and leaned back into his seat to watch the presentations. They were amusing enough so far, the last Acolyte girl gave a pretty interesting poem that made him suspect she probably was used to writing words that had a beat like that. Stoney's was by far the most creative, but hey Mason wasn't exactly the creative type so it was only from his judgement. Everyone else was just amusing enough not to let his mind wander. He was just as anxious for the class to finish so their weekend can really begin.

Jocelyn had done nothing more than giggle and not take anything Inflict or Machete said the way they most likely intended her to take it. She liked them, and they weren't going to get rid of her like they did everyone else with a few nasty comments. Her relationship with the Hellions was a rather odd one. Despite all the things they did and say to make her go away and try and scare her, she did nothing but giggle and pass their comments off as jokes. She never saw them to be all that bad, and even though she knew they were dangerous she just simply didn't care. Things were most likely not going to change after a year and a half of absence.
Once Emma made her announcement, anyone that Jocelyn caught staring at her she blew a kiss to and winked. Other times she would burst into laughter and giggles at the poems. There were some cute girls around here, and Joce knew she'd have fun getting to know them. She couldn't wait to see Colossus later and meet her team. Now though, she was just having fun listening to the people make their poems. Wow that guy has a killer voice, sexy kinda. Aw, Stoney is cuter than ever though! And the poor guy is still getting a hard time from his team! The sexy soft voice that spoke out next grabbed Jocelyn's attention. Her eyes widened when she looked for the first time at a very pleasing new addition since she last got here. "Damn, how did I miss her?" she said to Kelly Burns, her eyes moving up and down the exotic girl's lovely form.
Jocelyn may not have known the girl, but she recognized the insult behind the well spoken statement. Her hand flew to her mouth and she giggled. "Oh my. Kelly I think this is your cue to say BURN!" she said in giggles and had to admire how clever the girl was to slide in an insult like that. "Mmm mmm MMMmmm. Now that is hot," she said to whoever sat around her looking at the girl one more time. She kept her eyes on her when the blond with a cute butt stood up and said her cute little poem that was actually really good. "Wow I am sooooo glad to be back," Joce said with a giggle at the amusement she got in her first hour back.

Uninterested in the poetry and prose of the commoners, bottom feeders they all were in his eyes, Norrison quickly tuned them out. Dwelling with them here at this school had been more than he could stand at times. The only thing that kept him happy was indulging his own twisted urges. Thankfully his girl Machete liked pain as much as he liked inflicting it, so the two of them entertained each others whims. His other guilty pleasure was tormenting those around him that let their guard down.
It was simple, he teased and poured salt into wounds for pleasure. His mutant power, it seemed, was a direct representation of a character trait that he had held since as far back as he could remember. In fact, pulling the wings off of flies was one of his first truly enjoyable pass times. Whenever his 'dear friend' Chester spoke it was a chance to entertain himself yet again. This time though Brock beat him to the punch.
He nodded in appreciation of Rumble's remarks, throwing a bone to his dog, and smirking. The day was coming though when ol' Stoney was going to have his fill of the noise. Norrison knew it and so he left well enough alone and let the class continue. Besides whatever would their ghost of a Queen think of him if she saw him cut their own man down. No he would wait for it, wait until there was more elbow room and less children about.
More chittering from the chatterboxes made him shake his head and look to his girl. "I am so tired of these kids and their stupid mouths. Especially this blue one and she only just got back. I think I am going to enjoy tonight's Danger Room session... and wait until you see what I have planned for afterward." He spoke in a normal tone, not caring how rude he appeared. He was Royalty, in the surface world and no mob princess or fish princess or hell princess was higher than he, at least in his own estimations. They could all stand in line to lick his boot heel for all he cared and he never doubted that they would for a second.

"Yea, uh...sure Miss Frost." she wanted to duck down and hide since she didn't really like her piece, but like Emma had said if it's not good enough to read then it was a waste of time to write. She looked at Sean and made a slight face, a little bit of a grimace, to let him know she didn't really want to do this.
She felt her face flush and could hear the blood pumping in her ears. Her own heartbeat, throbbing..pulsing...carrying her mutant gift, her curse throughout her body. She stood up licking her lips. Her mouth was suddenly dry as the Mohave and her tongue felt thick as a plank of wood. This is not going to be good, oh man this is not gonna be good. Why'd she call on me? What did I do? Blue girl is blowing kisses and Rumble is talkin smack, why me?
"O.K. well um I uh... this is my short story and I hope uh, well I hope you guys like it." oh great that was smooth, nothing like begging. She opened her notebook and found the page with the frame painted on it in black nail polish. Taking a breath she stole a last glance at TuneUp before she started reading.
"The sound of the dove cooing in the shade of the stoop made the old man turn and speak. He sat with his grandson in the heat of a summer day as the open fire hydrant sprayed water in the street. 'I remember a story that my Granddaddy told to me. I'ma gonna tell it to you now so you know it. One day you might tell it to your grandson so we never forget her.'
He looked to the sun in the sky and pulled from his pocket a handkerchief. Wiping his brow he said 'Her name was Martha, Martha Washington some called her, she was the last of her kind. A bird of our fine nation, knowing no other land as her home. She was a passenger pigeon, and she was a delight. Her kind is gone now thanks to us, people son, so don't ever forget it. A sad lesson to learn.'
He folded his handkerchief and before he put the last fold to it and slipped it into his pocket he wiped his mouth and smacked his lips. The withered skin on his face showed his shame over the loss. 'They made for good eatin for the slaves when they got set free, and the loggers cleared off their homes when they cut down the trees. Man made his push and the bird that the Injuns called Amimi tried to hold to it's lands, but it failed. So make me a promise now boy' said the man. 'Promise me you wont let nothin this shameful happen again.'
He reached a shaky wrinkled hand over and patted the young boy on his leg. Smiling toothlessly he nodded his head up the block. 'Look there, you know that fella's song. Ice-cream man, how about a nice treat?' The boy looked at the old man and shook his head saying 'I'd rather hear some more bout Martha if I may sir. Please.' A twinkle shone in the old storyteller's eye and he knew he had planted a seed for the future. He relaxed as he told more of the bird."
When Katie was done reading her short story she felt the embarrassment flush on her again. It wasn't that good at all, not good like Stoney's or funny like Chase's, or jazzy and cool like Gavin's or Ian's...it wasn't all that. Lurai's and Ricki's were way better than hers and so she hung her head a little and she shrugged. "Sorry it wasn't as good as all of you's guys, but I liked it when I wrote it. Sorry if it was a waste of time Miss Frost, uh...sorry." She sat back down and looked to Sean with puppydog eyes hoping maybe he liked it.

Sky had been doodling a picture in her notebook through most of the poems, though that was only after she cracked herself up at Chase's poem, mainly because he was so obviously full of shit. The only other time she had looked up was when Gavin sang in that oh so sexy voice of his that made her drool every time. Other than that she just doodled, and didn't even look up when she called out to K'8. "I like it K'8, it's all good. Probably way better than I coulda done with that. Work girl, work it!" Sky said with a grin and gave a whistle of her version of clapping, still doing her doodles. "Dude, check this out," she whispered to Chase and showed him her marvelous 'artwork' around her limerick that she wrote last night when she remembered that there was an assignment. Every class she always doodled mindlessly and showed her notebook to Chase. Sky giggled and then flashed it to Lian and Kat so they could see too. "Ain't I a genius?" She was still quite pissed at Katana for making her spill her pudding last night at dinner when the bonehead klutz walked into her cause she was lost in her own sad pathetic world. Sky continued snickering till she caught the expectant look on Emma Frost's face as she watched them. A groan escaped Sky. "Aw man do I haveta?" The look on Emma's Frost face left no room for argument. "FINE!" she said with a sigh and stood up with her book, reading the limerick out loud. There once was a girl with a body full of hair, She resembled a monkey and was anything but fair. She screeched and moaned all day long, Until a bear came and told her to stop her annoying song. When she refused she was eaten and her wails were no longer heard in the air. Sky giggled at the end and sat back down, trying her best to give Emma Frost an angelic smile before erupting in giggles again. "Oh man I'm framing this one here," she whispered to Chase.

Lian had a difficult time shutting up when class started. She couldn't help but giggle at some of the many doodles that Sky perfected in. The ones on Katana were just the completely best. After controlling her giggles, Lian gave her attention to everyone who presented. She was falling out of her chair, literally, when Chase, Ian, Lurai and Gavin performed. The Paragon couldn't help it. She then smacked Sky on the back of her head when she couldn't prevent going all GaGa over the winged rock star. "Roll your tongue back up ya pansy," she said with a smirk. Stoney, Ricki and K'8's performances were actually good. But Lian wasn't one to really appreciate artsy stuff. She did like how Stoney was able to show a soft side, considering his appearance didn't help him in that department. But the other two it was basically expected. Lian clapped along with Sky and comforted K'8 too. "It was great man!" she said assuringly. A wide smirk played across her face when it was her best friend's turn. "Oh this is going to be great," she whispers to Chase. During the performance, Lian was covering her mouth in order to not burst out into laughter. She knew who the poem was about, heck everyone would probably know. When Sky finally finished, Lian no longer held back and allowed her laughter to roar within the classroom. The result of that was Emma staring at her. She knew what that meant. "Oh O.K!" she said with a large sigh. "Can't even have fun. Darn teachers and your music," she mumbled before getting up. Holding up her crumbled ball of paper, Lian flattened it with her hands and cleared her throat. She wasn't the type to make her own poem. And therefore decided to quote a song from one of her favorite movies Bedazzled. Seeing Brendan Frazier play a Colombian drug dealer was just priceless. But nothing beet the stupid uber sensitive and emotion person in the world wish. With that scene came one of the most enlightening songs: Mayo nay oh naiiiiiiise, Swimming by the sandy shore, Bouncing off among the waves, Dolphin dolphin I adore, Everything you are.
You're so much more than a fish to me, My playful friend beneath the sea, IIIII AH OOOOO EY A OOOOO EY!!! She finished the song to sound as accurate as a dolphin as possible. She then kicked her feet and landed in a "ta-da" pose with her hands doing spirit fingers. "And that's my nature song!!!!!!" she sang while sitting back down. She crumbled up her paper again and threw it to Chase's head.

Chase's poem was somewhat expected - Tia didn't interact much with the older Paragon, but she knew him enough to know that the day Chase did something serious would be the day that Tia claimed pink to be her favourite colour, and dolls to be her favourite toys. Tia smiled, shaking her head slightly as Chase sat down and Lurai - who was seated close to her and Frosty got up to read her haiku. Tia's small smile stretched a bit more, and a quiet laugh escaped her. Poor Coffee, she thought before diverting her attention to Ian instead. His haiku didn't really seem to pluck any 'amusement' strings in Tia's mind. She just merely blinked - it was a well written Haiku, but she really couldn't understand why some of the other Acolytes were laughing so much.
Gavin's song made Tia laugh too. The words were very silly, but Gavin made it sound like a ballad, which was quite entertaining. Stoney's poem was something Tia actually really liked, it had some form of meaning to it. Tia rolled her eyes at Rumble, she was quite surprised that he hadn't made comments about other peoples poems - not that she minded. She prefered him not speaking. Tia vaguely nodded in agreement to Sean's words about Ember. Tia was glad that Ember had returned back to her self-controlled state, she'd hate to see the Corsair snap again. Taffy went next, and her poem was also quite meaningful - Tia liked it.
K'8's paragraph was quite detailed, and Tia - reluctantly - gave K'8 a bit of a smile with a 'that-was-really-good' kind of look on her face. Tia wasn't one to not give credit when it was due. Her vague underconfidence at the end had Tia feeling a bit bad for holding a grudge against the girl for something that she didn't do on purpose. Decay and Ripple's poems were naturally funny too, and both recieved a chuckle and smile from Tia. She shook her head, as she tried to figure out who's Decay's poem was aimed at - because well, it was just very Skylike to target someone.
Tia fiddled with a pen absentmindedly, before she caught Miss Frost looking at her. She sighed, she wasn't much of a performer, and didn't really like to speak in front of a large audience, but she knew she didn't really have a choice, and being difficult was just going to be annoying. She stood up hesitantly and picked up her book, keeping her eyes fixed on her notebook so she didn't have to look at anyone else. Here goes nothing.
" Wild, Impatient, Natural, Desired; I'm wind.
When I'm gentle, on a hot summers day; They call me breeze.
When I'm abrupt, strong and sudden; They call me gust or gale
When I'm violent angry, indifferent They call me Tempest
I can stop the strongest of birds from flying and make the weakest of birds fly I can hear what everyone's saying but still stop them hearing their own words
I am nowhere, but still I'm everywhere I'm nothing, and yet I'm everything.
No matter what they call me, I'm still wind.
Wild, Impatient, Natural, Desired. "
Tia sat down as she ended her poem, her voice carrying her dead tone throughout the recital. She never payed much attention to nature, so she'd gotten a bit stuck on the task, before Frosty'd reminded her that she controlled an element and an element was a part of nature. Tia hadn't really thought of it that way, but she was glad Frosty had pointed it out because it had made the homework a lot easier for Tia. Tia loved writing, especially when it came to things that interested her - and her power was most certainly one of them.

Kevin stod up clapping for Tia and thought how icronic it was that she did something on her power just like he had done. "Me next?" he asked looking at MsFrost and when she gave him one of her nods with the slight smile he knew he was all set and had the green light to go. "OK, but first I just wanted to say I think everybody was good, really some fantacsti even, but I remember the one that Ripple just said from somewheres or so. I think she owes us all an apology for wasting our time like you said Ms Frost. I love Brenden Frasier, go figgeur, and that is from a movie he did. She totally ripped that off." He looked at her, not fearing any repercushons from her or the Paragons, he knew who the real leader of that team was, he was no dummy. Being friends with Allure he saw how she could turn things her way and he knew it was her power somtimes, but he didn't say anything because she was his very own glamor icon. She wore the best and knew all the trends and not only that but she was the hotterst girl in the school as far as he was concernt, expecially since she was helping him with his own looks and adding her little touches. He liked how when she did his eyebrows and that she helped him to do a bit of makeup, just a touch to bring out his eyes and gloss his lips, it was cute and fun and if it helped him to get a guy all the better. Veronika said it would, and that was all that mattered. "So" he licked his lips and blinked as he looked over at Chase. There was somthing about him today that was just too addorable. Maybe it was his poem or the accent he used or it might have been his enterence that had started it all off, but somthings was making him check the boy with the red hair, and check him hard. He gave him the 'smokey eyes' that Veronika had taught him and did the 'hold back a smile with your lips' trick too just to put icing on the cake. "Ok here's mine:" `I am the sword of dawn, I am the breaker of the night. Scare monsters back under beds, keep children free from fright
I warm the beach and the sea, make the plants to grow. Melt ice-cream on a summer day, cause glashiers to flow.
Show the tunnel's end when hope's all been lost. I am a friend or a foe to Queen or to ho harsh or flatering there's always a cost.
Light is my name and light is my game from Christmass Trees to fourth of July important I am for without me you see laser beams, TV screens, everything would go pale and unseen.' He grined excitedly, even though the ryme was a bit rough it was there. He practiced it all night in front of the mirror and in just his new designer undiers that Allure had brought back for him from her shopping trip with Heather who he was getting to really like now that her boyfriend Jumper was long gone and she could really go after the guys she liked. He loved how his body was shaping up and he was gaining such confidencted too. He looked to his team and noded at them giving a thumbs up to his bud Ian and winking at Niki. This was going to be a great weekend eventhough they still had to do their projects for Beast's class.

So far from what Ivy had heard from people's presentations were they were going to be either funny, serious, or about their power if it was elemental or nature based. She could see why, as for the person it would be easy enough to pull off, and it was what she had done as well, in a way. It wasn't funny like Chase, Lurai, Ian, Gavin and Sky's were, but she thought it touched the same kind of way the others that were written, like Stoney, Ricki, Tia and Kevin's. Lian's sounded too familiar to be original, and at her presentation Ivy raised an eyebrow slightly with an expression that faintly said 'that's supposed to be funny?' Regardless of what she thought, she clapped lightly for each person, laughing or smiling gently for each funny or more serious person respectively. After Kevin went, Ivy took it upon herself to stand up to go next without a look or prompt from the headmistress. Honestly, although she was slightly nervous to present the poem she wrote, she was happy enough from being back in class with everyone to ignore the nervousness. "I'll go next," she said quietly, a small smile on her face as she tucked a lock of her red hair behind an ear while the rest curtained the other side of her face, hiding the slight blush on her cheeks. She held her journal up so she could read and then began to read with a soft voice, although she could still be heard by all in the classroom: The life of a nightshade is rather lonely A green left alone because it can harm One of the plants left alone cause it's only One of the ones with a dangerous charm. Poison laced in with its purple petals Certainly a beauty with a mean bite Tropane and pyridine quickly settle With just a touch they take their bizarre flight. The aftermath is bad, so's the during It grows in some places, not quite wanted The berry and the flower's alluring Though it's something that should not be flaunted. Indeed the deadly nightshade is a curse A flora bound to leave you for the worse. As she finished the sonnet she flashed a smile before sitting down again, biting the inside of her lip, hoping people would like it. It had a natural theme, being about a plant as well as her namesake. It had been what she had written while still in quarantine the night before, despite the fact she knew that she would be attending class now. Ivy felt that that was how it was with her, as she was a poisonous being who liked to think of herself being somewhat pretty, but in being poisonous made her something that wasn't totally wanted, even if her team showed it wasn't the case.

"Heh, s'funny ya know." Loud enough he said it, spoke the Shade just under his breath, but with enough volume for the clump of Hellions and Kelly and Splice to hear. "Pretty as she is talkin bout bein deadly, funny in a way." off center The Shade was, although not one without humor was he, a bit. The comedy of horror films and the beauty of a scream he loved. "Yesss...I'm goin next. This one is quick." He looked over at his family, brothers and sister in Hellion blood shared they. "Nothin fancy, so don't get all twisted up if ya got no nothin to tease me about." Flashing dead eyes between Norrison and Rose, then to Brock and Kelly trailed they. Many a fun filled night hanging out had they spent, on the outer fringe of the warm friendly circle Shade dwelt. But still there was he and the shadows his silent companions. Digs and jabs he got in when he could, so he was always welcome at the party. Gather round Sisters and Brothers you too, I have a happy ending for you. Bird and fish and man and tree...they all die. THE END He sat down and gave the finger to Kelly. "This is for your mom." Arms stretched up and with a folding of hand together behind his head he leaned back in his chair. Looking down, his White Queen's feet caught his dead frozen fish eyes and he smiled. Her shoes had to be killing her.
